Stenton Avenue will reopen to traffic on Tuesday, December 10.
Construction crews had hoped to complete work by this weekend but were delayed by further utility work. After the road has opened, PECO crews will be working in the Stenton Avenue and Flourtown Road intersection to relocate gas mains. Both roads and the intersection will remain open during the work. Crews will be directing traffic in the area.
The fourth and final phase of the Stenton Avenue project will involve work between Flourtown Road and Joshua Road. Work on this section will begin December 11. Stenton Avenue westbound will be closed at the Flourtown Road/Cricket Road intersection. Stenton Avenue eastbound will be open to just past The Reserve at Creekside. No traffic will be able to travel through the intersection.
The Township appreciates the ongoing patience of residents and motorists traveling in the area.
