[ARCHIVED] Citizens Police Academy Applications Now Being Accepted

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be behind the scenes of your local police department? Here's your chance!

The Citizens Police Academy is an educational, hands-on program designed to give residents of Whitemarsh Township a deeper understanding of the Whitemarsh Township Police Department and how we serve our community.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • 6 consecutive Monday evening sessions from 7:00PM to 9:00PM, starting September 29th through November 3, 2025
  • A mix of classroom instruction and practical field exercises
  • Learn about the challenges and responsibilities of law enforcement
  • Meet the officers who protect your community
  • FREE to attend for Township residents!

GOAL: To build stronger connections between officers and the community through transparency, education, and partnership.

BENEFITS: Benefits leave with valuable insight, a stronger connection to their neighborhood, and the tools to help promote safety and understanding in the community.

WHO CAN APPLY:

  • Must be 18 or Older
  • Must reside in Whitemarsh Township
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Background check may be conducted
